As I Watch My Body Age

All the while I’m watching my body age, 

I’m also experiencing an innocent joy and Wisdom, that is only deepening. 

Where I used to try to stop my body’s aging, 

Attacking it with all my comparisons, 

Now I learn to use my body for teaching only love. 

That it might become a healthy, serviceable Instrument for God’s love in the world, 

And age with lasting beauty and strength.
